I got a "user report" email from Facebook about my app. What does this mean?

When a user files a report about your app, we pass the report along to you. Please use these reports as an opportunity to revisit the Statements of Rights and Reponsibilities and the Developer Principles and Policies to ensure that your app is in compliance. If you believe your app complies with all policies, no further action is required.

Keep in mind that Facebook values user reports and may leverage them in automated systems to identify and disable bad apps.

If you created an app using a gift or quiz template app, you'll need to contact the developer of the app who created the template. This app was not made by Facebook and unfortunately, we cannot provide support for template apps.

Why do users get sent to their Facebook home page when they try to visit my app?

You are most likely in Sandbox mode. You can disable Sandbox mode from the Advanced tab of your app's "Edit Settings" page.

How do I prevent flash from obscuring edit settings?

To prevent flash from obscuring everything in the browser, set the flash parameter "wmode" to opaque or transparent versus the default window mode. A full explanation to the window modes can be found here.

The name I'm trying to give my app is denied. Why?

Your app must not contain any of Facebook's trademarks, as outlined in our Developer Principles and Policies. If your name is rejected and does not contain one of Facebook's trademarked terms and is not confusingly similar to one of Facebook's trademarked terms, you can complete this form to request a name appeal.
